ABOUT
SEAGRAM FARM
After years of dreaming of having a small plot of land to raise a few chickens, the Lord blessed us with more than we could have ever imagined - our 19-acre farm in Amelia Court House, Virginia.
In May of 2025, we left our cul-de-sac in the the overcrowded Short Pump and moved to the greener pastures of Seagram Farm. At that time, we (Ian & Megan Seagram) had been married almost 13-years, run our event audiovisual production company together for 11 years, and while Ian grew up in nearby Cumberland, Virginia, Megan was an animal-obsessed city girl through-and-through.
Two weeks after closing, we attended a local animal swap “just to look” and came home with two tiny Nigerian Dwarf goat kids in a dog crate in the back of our hatchback car, and absolutely no plan. That first night, four dear friends showed up to help. One couple helped us build a goat house, another brought portable electric fencing, and we got our first real taste of small-town community. George and Lucy (the goats) spent their first weeks sleeping safely in our garage while Megan adjusted to full-time outdoor animals (city girl tendencies die hard and she wanted to keep them close and safe!). Our two young rescue pups didn’t know what to think of the new additions, but they eventually got used to each other!
Since then, we’ve built coops, pens, and shelters, welcomed chickens, geese, and guineas (RIP to most of the guineas), and continue learning every day. The Lord has used this land to continually teach us patience, stewardship, and gratitude.
We aren't sure exactly what the Lord has in store for our farm, but for now, we are focusing on poultry operations, currently selling Non-GMO, farm fresh eggs to our community, and working on building our breeding program for Crested Cream Legbars and Ayam Cemani chickens. We plan to add turkeys, pigs and registered Nigerian Dwarf Goats to breed in the near future. We are focused on responsible growth, humane practices, and supporting our community throughout the growth of our farm and family.
We are incredibly thankful to build our life here, raise animals with care, and grow something meaningful, by God’s grace, one season at a time.
Thank you for supporting our local family farm!
